At a press conference that was held on Wednesday 22 June 2016, at a place named Piree, in Piraeus, Celestyal Cruises announced that it will hold 821 calls at Greek ports for 2016, despite the challenges, the objective pressures and the difficulties that our region faces. It is expected that passenger traffic will range very close to last year’s levels, reaching 122.000 arrivals, corresponding to 488.000 overnight stays of foreign passengers for this year.

“Very soon the treaty for the obligatory installation of ballast water treatment system on ships will be ratified” says Mr. Konstantinos Stampedakis, Director of ERMA FIRST S.A.

Ioannis Bakas, Technical Director of HELENGi Engineering LTD speaks at maritimes TV about “Amaltheia”, the first LNG bunker feeder vessel, which is 100\% designed by HELENGi and NAP Engineering.

“It is the first time that Greek companies undertake such a demanding and complex project in this specific vessel type” emphasizes Mr. Bakas.

The presentation of “Amaltheia” took place during POSIDONIA 2016 International Shipping Exhibition, held in Athens, in a period when Greece and Greek shipping dynamically enters the era of the use of Liquefied Natural Gas.

Liquefied Natural Gas is promoted by trans- European Poseidon Med Project, in which HELENGi and NAP Engineering participate.
