Lack of competent seafarers, especially officers, stated Mr. Norbert Aschmann, CEO of the group Bernhard Schulte (BSM), one of the largest in the world ship management groups, noting that BSM has a highly skilled and educated workforce, both ships and at the offices of the group around the world.
He stressed that after the crisis, most ships operated by third party ship management companies.
He notes that the Greek fleet is constantly increasing and that the Greek office grows, while stressing that do not affect the presence of the office of the difficult economic situation of Greece.

"All Greeks love their country... Some of us are just in a better position to help," Panos Laskaridis, President of Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation told Maritimes TV in a recent interview.
The foundation's work since 2007 with a library consisting of over 28,000 titles and a series of programs aimed at the promotion of Greek culture and Maritime Heritage is a strong example.
Mr. Laskaridis stressed that the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, as well as other significant foundations linked to Greek shipowners, would not be in position to offer to Greece, if it wasn't for revenues from Shipping.
