At maritimes TV, Mr. Dimitris Zafiriadis, President and CEO of Hellenic Register of Shipping points out that a new chapter is opened for Hellenic Register of Shipping after the successful completion of LNGCOMSHIP Research Program, where Hellenic Register of Shipping will be present in developments regarding the use of Liquefied Natural Gas in ships of Greek coastal shipping and in power plants of unrelated islands.
This interview was given in the context of the completion of LNGCOMSHIP Research Program, under Greek- Chinese cooperation, a collaboration of Greek Register of Shipping with the Technological Educational Institute of Athens (TEI- A), particularly with the department of Naval Architect Engineers, which belongs to the Faculty of Technological Applications, and the HARBIN ENGINEERING UNIVERSITY of China, concerning the implementation of Liquefied Natural Gas as fuel installation for propulsion of commercial ships.
