Greek ship ownership has a long tradition in the transportation of energy raw materials, a situation that has intensified in recent years, as Mr. Kostis Stambolis, Vice President & General Director of IENE points out in his interview at maritimes TV, in the context of the 3rd International Seminar- Energy & Shipping, at the Eugenides Foundation.
He speaks about the International Seminar which has a didactic character as he notes and he explains that the cooperation with the University of Piraeus is due to this reason.
He stresses that Piraeus is a large shipping center, he refers to the role of the institute which monitors and analyzes the trends, saying that there is a background that supports all openings of Greek shipping in the energy industry.
He adds that the issue of security is increasingly involved in the ratings for shipping matters in direct connection with energy, where IENE helps through analysis, to make them more comprehensible so that the necessary measures will be promptly taken.
