The evening marks the first official event of the newly opened BIMCO in Athens and members will be presented with the latest market analysis update.

Elena Tassioula, BIMCO’s General Manager in Greece and Cyprus, will welcome members to an insightful and pleasant evening, where members can engage with BIMCO in an informal setting and catch up on the latest news from the global shipping organization.

BIMCO’s Chief Shipping Analyst, Peter Sand, will present at the event and provide members with the latest market analysis on the dry bulk and tanker markets.

Dry bulk freight rates have climbed out of the abyss on the back of Brazilian iron ore exports, but the dry bulk market is still faced with macroeconomic slowdown and uncertainty. The tanker market has recently surged to decade-highs due to geopolitical turmoil but have since fallen to more moderate levels.

Peter Sand will touch upon these topics, among others, as he provides the audience with BIMCO’s market outlook for the coming quarters. After the presentations, members are invited to contribute to a questions and answers session.
